I have worked as a founder, in-house employee, advisor, director and volunteer from startups to global companies of all sizes. I have seen, lead and scaled agile and lean methodologies to deliver excellent customer experiences. I’ve also experienced and seen it when customers are frustrated.

My background in engineering, social science, design and human-ai experience ensures that the voice of customer’s are understood in every discussion we have. I’ve shared these experiences in a wide variety of publications and speaking.

A Strategy Sprint is a 4 half-day workshop and 2 half-day interviews over a 3-week engagement for leadership teams to design a winning action-orientated strategy to move your company, teams, product and service to a competitively advantageous position.

Developed in AJ&Smart and used globally across multi-national companies and startups and asks questions why a company, team, product, and/or service exist.

The process is composed of framing challenge about existence (during week 1), why teams exist (across week 2), what product and service fits into a larger ecosystem and how this comes to market, and how should the team and business work(through week 3).

 

What does a Strategy Sprint Look Like?

Over 3-week engagement we explore the challenge to take a step back from the solution to get the project setup with the team and align on purpose. We then design the strategy, establish guiding principles, develop multiple experiments and prioritise on a roadmap. Finally, we look at the tone of voice and how it is communicated back to the company and key stakeholders, the execution of the strategy to bring them with you. A post-sprint strategy helps to check-in and re-align on objectives and key results and how the strategy is being monitored.

The end of the strategy sprint has different outcomes. Many of my clients use the results to align their VCs, leadership teams, teams, identify new customer segmentations and markets to embark on, create a new team to experiment with to further understand the value teams can bring to the the company.
